Expenses of natural gas consumed by churches and monasteries to be covered by SOCAR

The expenses of natural gas consumed by churches and monasteries in Georgia will be fully covered by the SOCAR company, - Patriarchate of Georgia has released a statement.

“Under the agreement signed by the SOCAR Company and Patriarchate of Georgia, SOCAR has taken commitment to pay all expenses of the natural gas consumed by Georgian churches and monasteries. The agreement expires on November 1 this year but it has still been in force according to the company’s corresponding decision. (We would like to note that other religions will also be provided with the service).

The Patriarchate of Georgia thanks SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and SOCAR Energy Georgia General Director Mahir Mamedov for support,” reads the statement.
