The government leader’s speech has caused more tensions – Giorgi Margvelashvili
12:36 - 23 October '15
According to him, the latest developments have created preconditions for civil confrontation and violation of constitutional order.
“Every citizen is obliged to protect the constitution; first of all, the Georgian government is obliged to do it. Unfortunately, the government leader’s speech delivered today has caused more tensions instead of relaxing this complicated situation. I would like to call on everybody to refrain from making rigorous steps and control emotions. We should take care of public peace. I would like to call on the Judge not to make a decision in a hurry, as it will cause even more tensions. In relation to the present situation, I am beginning consultations with political parties, NGOs and diplomatic corps in order for public stability and constitutional order to be maintained,” the President said.
