Punjab, India: Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh has received a major push on social media platforms as Pakistan’s Intelligence Agency ISI pushed the campaigning through indirect funding routes from Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries, according to reports from CNN-News 18. The agency has been targeting Sikh youngsters with its campaigns.

The social media platforms are being flooded with images, highlighting the purported Sikh suppression in India. Moreover, these advertisements are visible in Canada, the United Kingdom as well as Germany, claimed the sources. The campaigning has been formulated, keeping Sikh youngsters aged between 18-25 years of age and having Singh, Kaur etc surnames as their major target audience.

The advertisements carry sensitive content, showing Sikh atrocities, selling garments with images of Sikh atrocities on them, and car accessories. As the reports from CNN-News 18, the promotional campaigns have been running around with millions of dollars for funding.

In addition to this, these advertisements have been linking the Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh with the Sikh secessionist leader Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale. In these ads, Amritpal is being highlighted as Bhindrawale in his way of walking and talking , his sense of dressing up with pagdi on his head.

Moreover, Amritpal has been seen posing like Bhindrawala in most of the pictures and videos.

The intelligence sources further quoted that comments on these posts are clearly not organic Indian Punjabi comments. The language can be traced to Pakistan’s Punjab province.
