The ministers reviewed the current cooperation issues between the countries and stressed the importance of strengthening political dialogue and sector cooperation between Latvia and Georgia.

They considered the challenges in the world and the reality of Georgia. They said that their diplomats have a huge mission. Achieving goals defined by foreign policy strategies, such as peaceful unification of the country, restoration of sovereignty, and integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures, would only be possible with proper diplomatic efforts in those areas.

Today, Georgia is waiting for the decision of the European Union Council, which will make the European future of the country irreversible. With the coordinated action of the relevant structures of the Georgian government, the active involvement of our agency and diplomatic corps in this process brings a particular burden.

Today, they have a common political agenda with EU member countries; the role of Georgian diplomacy is significant in the progress that Georgia has made on the path of integration into the EU.

Krishiani Karinsh said, “I am sure that the team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with Georgian diplomatic missions abroad, will successfully carry out the established tasks in the future and will take an active part in the implementation of the peaceful and democratic development of the country and the implementation of the policy-oriented on state interests.”

He also thanked everyone for their service. He said he wants to assure them that their dedication and involvement in protecting, presenting and strengthening the country’s interests is vital.
