Europe: The European Youth Event EYE2023 has kicked in with the launch of an online contest named as being#youngintheEU. The contest demands that the participants make a reel that is vertically captured, without any pictures and not exceeding the time limit of ten seconds.

The reel can be filmed on any topic of interest, be it any moment of enjoyment, visiting a place or anything you love, which highlights the life of a youngster living in any country in the European Union.

The reel shall be posted on the personal Instagram account with the hashtag #youngintheEU along with @ep_eye in the caption. The deadline for uploading the reels is Sunday, December 11, at midnight CET.

The winners of the contest will be rewarded with a trip to Strasbourg and a chance to participate in European Youth Event EYE2023.

-The winners of the contest agree to stay in Strasbourg for three nights during the event. The expenses of travel and accommodation shall be borne by the European Parliament.

Rules of Competition:

The reels posted between November 16, 2022- December 11, 2022, will be considered.

– The Instagram profiles shouldn’t be private. Only public profiles will be entertained.

– No infringement of copyrights shall be made in the reel, be it the music or the visuals.

-The videos that, in any form, include discriminatory content, promotion of any political party, politician, products or services or self, shall be subject to immediate disqualification from the contest.

Selection of the winners:

– The winners will be selected on the basis of the number of views, the audience interaction over the video and the extent of creativity; once the competition closes.

– The winners shall be contacted through Direct Message on Instagram only, with an invitation from European Parliament for Strasbourg and EYE2023.

The European Youth Event provides a platform for youngsters from all over European Union and the world to come together and discuss and express their opinions and vision of the future of Europe. As European Elections 2024 announces its arrival, the event will focus on the development of democracy and increasing youth engagement.
