Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a re-imagining classically based on ’90s JRPG Final Fantasy 7. But, rather than releasing the remake as one single title, it has been decided by the developer Square Enix to release the remake as a series of games instead. Therefore, the first part would release in April 2020. So, the game would be releasing in parts rather than a complete volume.
In November 2019, the developer announced that development on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 has begun, a release date for the second part of the game has not been confirmed yet, and, unfortunately, it can take at least a couple of years. However, the second chapter of the game remake will fully utilize the power of the PS5.
FF7 Remake Part 2 is now taking place in full production, with director Tetsuya Nomura telling Famitsu in July 2020. He is aiming for release “as soon as possible.” But it could be a while before we really get to play with it.
More about the FF7 Remake
Final Fantasy 7 Remake didn’t release until five years after it was announced. However, nobody is expecting more five-year wait for part 2. It is known that Square Enix has now developed the foundation of the game. Moreover, a Square Enix representative said to IGN that “the development team is planning the volume of content for the second part of the series and that the team anticipates that the second game development will be more efficient.”
Also, the director has previously compared Final Fantasy 7 Remake to Final Fantasy 13. It was released in three parts, with roughly a two-year gap between each of the parts. If Final Fantasy 7 Remake is going to be anything like that, people would have to wait for two years until part 2 launches. Therefore, we may not see it until the year 2022.
Everyone is eagerly waiting for part 2 to get released. Part 1 has already created excitement among people. We hope that part 2 also serves the audience in the same great way as part 1. We hope to hear the news about the remake super soon.
