Georgia: The body of Georgian volunteer fighter Arkadi Kasradze who was killed in Ukraine during the combat action with Russia, was transferred to Georgia on Saturday morning.
Kasradze was killed in a war with Russia in the Ukrainian city of Rubizhne on April 16.
The body of the deceased arrived at Tbilisi International Airport, where family members of the victim and civilians gathered to pay tribute, whose body was repatriated to Georgia via Poland.
Until now, since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, a total of nine Georgian volunteer fighters have been killed in the military action between both sides.
The nine Georgian volunteers who were killed in Military action are:
- Bakhva Chikobava,
- Davit Ratiani,
- Gia Beriashvili,
- Nika Shanava,
- Davit Menabdishvili,
- Davit Gobejishvili,
- Arkadi Kasradze,
- Zaza Bitsadze and
- Alika Tsaava.
As per the sources, the Georgian authorities are in talks with the Ukrainian authorities to bring back the dead bodies of the other two victims to Georgia.
The bodies of two more Georgians, Alika Tsaava and Zaza Bitsadze, will be brought to the country on a Warsaw-Tbilisi flight on April 24.
Furthermore, the deceased fighters were laid to rest with military full military honours.
The funeral of the other brave soldiers took place a few days ago. Many citizens have paid tribute to the victims of the war by paying a visit to their funerals and placing wreaths.
