“It’s an honour and great responsibility for Georgia to host ITB Berlin 2023”- Vice PM Davitashvili

Georgia: The Vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development , Levan Davitashvili, met with representatives of the tourism sector, where they presented the concept of Georgia as a host country of the ITB Berlin 2023 exhibition.

According to the Vice Prime Minister, it is a great honour and responsibility for Georgia to be the host country of ITB Berlin 2023. “The strongest side of Georgians is guest hospitality. This is the main theme and accent, which will be presented at the ITB Berlin exhibition”, stated Davitashvili.

The economy minister noted that it is clear that this, along with representation on a global scale, will give the country’s tourism industry a valuable opportunity for further development. We want to make the most of the opportunities that ITB Berlin gives us.”


The Vice Prime Minister also called on the representatives of the tourism sector of Georgia to work together to represent Georgia at its best and to make our country’s hosting of the world’s largest tourist exhibition a memorable event.

At the same meeting, a presentation of a new tourism video clip, prepared with the concept of guest-hospitality, titled – Guest. This video clip will be used on the ITB Berlin platform.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili presented a presentation about Georgia’s participation in the ITB Berlin exhibition.

According to him, the status of the host country of the world’s largest tourist exhibition will give Georgia direct access to the world’s biggest buyers and target markets, and media coverage worth 37 million euros.  

Most importantly, this will give Georgia the opportunity to introduce its tourism potential and tourism products to the exhibition’s 200,000 audience, including 100,000 business visitors and exhibitors to the many millions of television viewers.
