Georgia: Agriculture Minister Otar Shamugia to deliver speech at GFFA2023,Berlin

Tbilisi: The Georgian Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia, is all set to deliver a speech at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA2023), which is going to be held in Berlin. The Georgian Minister is currently on a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany and will be attending the event from January 19-21, 2023.

Tbilisi: The Georgian Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia, is all set to deliver a speech at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA 2023), which is going to be held in Berlin. The Georgian Minister is currently on a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany and will be attending the event from January 19-21, 2023.

Additionally, the Georgian Minister will be attending the bilateral meetings with the first persons of rural ministries of different countries, who are scheduled to visit the Global event in Berlin.

As per the updates, the GFFA 2023 edition of the largest forum of food and agriculture in the world will be attended by agriculture ministers from 90 countries and high-level representatives of international organizations. A total of 2000 visitors from politics, business, academia, and civil society will mark their presence at the event.

The Global Forum for Food and Agriculture is an international conference on central issues of global agricultural and food policies that is annually held in Berlin. The attendees will be discussing in Berlin the reforms required to bring about a successful transformation of global food systems. 

The 2023 GFFA is founded over the UN Food Systems Summit for this process. Except for the Conference of Agriculture Ministers on Saturday, 21 January, the events of the global forum are public and can be attended at no cost with prior registration.

As part of the visit, Otar Shamugia will also be attending the opening event of the largest and most prestigious international exhibition in agriculture and horticulture, “Gruene Woche 2023”. This exhibition has been running since 1926 and is attended by more than 1,400 companies from 72 countries, and the number of visitors at the exhibition exceeds 400,000.

 At the exhibition “Gruene Week 2023” (Gruene Woche 2023), with the support of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture, 16 Georgian companies get an opportunity to present their products on the Georgian stand.
