Tbilisi: The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Otar Shamugia, met with representatives of the management of the Pepsico company.
The Georgian Agriculture Minister spoke about the importance of government programs for agriculture development and briefed business sector representatives on the favorable investment environment in the country.
As Otar Shamugia noted, In our country, there are all the necessary conditions for implementing investments. The Georgian Government is significantly progressing in terms of establishing and developing business in the nation.
The Government is actively working towards securing a conducive investment environment. I would like to emphasize that I have the expectation of bilateral cooperation that in the long run, would prove beneficial for the country as well as Pepsico company,” Otar Shamugia said.
At the same time, the Pepsico company representatives noted that Georgia is interesting in terms of the potential for agriculture development, which is an important precondition for effective cooperation in the future.
The meeting held at the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture with the Pepsico representatives was also attended by Deputy Minister Tengiz Nasaridze. Notably, the meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties directing towards affirmative notices.
It is noteworthy that PepsiCo is a leading international food and beverage company operating in more than 200 countries worldwide, and the corporation is headquartered in Harrison, New York.
The bilateral cooperation of the Government of Georgia with a company that carries its operations in over 200 countries would be a significant economic feat. The cooperation will bring enormous benefits to the country with enhanced prospects of employment, providing a certain impetus to the economy.
