Georgia: George Volski meets Head of Delegation of International Committee of Red Cross

Georgia: The First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, George Volski, the Chairman of the Temporary Commission on Territorial Integrity and De-Occupation of the Parliament of Georgia, met with the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation to Georgia, Severin Shapaz.

At the meeting, Severin Shapaz, who is resigning, introduced his replacement, Ann Montavon, to the First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia.

The sides discussed issues related to cooperation between Georgia and the International Committee of the Red Cross. The topic of conversation was mainly the issue of finding and exchanging the remains of people lost and killed in the fight for the territorial integrity of Georgia.

“We brought a lot of people through the Red Cross, and it was also very serious to always involve the Red Cross in the process of transporting people from the occupied territories for medical treatment. They have done a great job in this regard. “We talked about how our relationship will continue in the future,” said George Volski.

The sides discussed future prospects of cooperation.
