“First of all, I would like to express my sorrow for what happened. I would like to express my condolences to the families of the victims. It is very hard for us, for everyone, especially for their families, friends, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. You know that six people were our employees, and two were emergency medical doctors. Unfortunate, an incident occurred. The footage was spread on the Internet and on television; the helicopter lost control and crashed; we don’t know anything else yet. Experts will work out what caused the loss of control. Unfortunately, eight people died, and one person was injured. A foreign tourist for whom a rescue operation was being carried out, also died. The person who was injured was taken out, he is alive, and he is being transported to the emergency medical service. Groups continue to work. We will do everything to make the burial of the dead happen today,” said Vakhtang Gomelauri.
