The Georgian Health authorities said the country has reported 1,716 new cases of COVID-19, with 1,551 recoveries and 16 fatalities in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past two weeks stands at 13.98 per cent.
Overall, there are currently 30,700 active cases of Coronavirus throughout the country.
Moreover, as per the figures given by the health authorities of Georgia, a total of 19,857 tests were conducted throughout the country within the last 24 hours, out of which 17,226 were rapid antigen tests, and the remaining 2,631 were PCR tests.
Since February 26, 2020, the country has recorded a total of 1,637,691 cases of Coronavirus. Out of 1,637,691 cases of COVID-19, a total of 1,590,380 patients have recovered, while 16,585 people have succumbed to it.
The new 1,716 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in several parts of the country.

- Imereti – 253 cases
- Kvemo Kartli – 56 cases
- Shida Kartli – 132 cases
- Guria – 110 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 150 cases
- Kakheti – 156 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 37 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti – 43 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 46 cases
Furthermore, as of today, there are currently 1,324 patients who are undergoing treatment in hospitals, while 29,376 people are undergoing treatment at home and by consulting their family doctors. There are 340 people who are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
A total of 1,354,081 people have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,251,778 individuals have been fully vaccinated, amounting to 43.5% of the country’s adult population.
In total, 229,077 individuals have received booster shots of the vaccine.
As of today, around 33.7 % of the total population of Georgia has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, which accounts for 12.5L of people. As of now, approximately 29.1L doses of vaccines have been administered in the country.
