Moreover, Ilia Darchiashvili, Foreign Affairs Minister, said that Georgia has completed the first part of the Questionnaire handed over by the EU, and the Government will submit it to Karl Hartzel, the head European Commission, on coming Monday.

The date which the EU has set to submit the second part of the Questionnaire is May 13, but the Government of Georgia is aiming to submit the completed part as soon as possible.

“Together with the head of the Government, we discussed the issue of preparing a questionnaire within the commission. The first part of the Questionnaire was completed with the involvement of all government agencies. A lot of work has been done. The Georgian Government will hand over the first part of the Questionnaire on Monday to the European Commission, which was handed over to us for processing. As for the last part, the sector part, which is more technical and detailed, there are about 2300 questions in the Questionnaire. All state agencies have started working on this document. The deadline for sharing this document with our European partners is May 13. We will do our best to finish the last Questionnaire as soon as possible and share it with our European partners. At the same time, a decision was made that the sectoral part of the document will be made public today,” Darchiashvili said.

The Questionnaire was handed over to Georgia in Luxembourg on April 11.
