“Thank you, Your Majesty! It is a great honour for me to meet you personally. Thanks for our invitation and reception. On behalf of our government, country and people, thank you for your very generous decision to transfer land to Georgia. Your Royal Highness, without exaggeration, I want to tell you that this is the greatest gift and joy for the whole nation. Thank you again for that. Thanks! I also want to emphasize the importance of our relationship. It gave us a really good opportunity to discuss our bilateral relationship and future development. That is why I came with a delegation, with ministers. “So thank you again,” the head of government told King Abdullah II.

The Prime Minister noted that the construction of a Georgian cultural centre on a plot of land transferred to Georgia on the Holy Land would help deepen friendship and cooperation between the two countries and increase awareness of the historical heritage of the Georgian and Jordanian peoples.

The head of government noted that Georgia and Jordan are in a new stage of deepening the Hashimite royal ties.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the role of His Excellency Prince Ghaz, as well as the Patriarch of Jerusalem and the Archbishop of Jordan, in the decision-making process for the transfer of land to Georgia.
