Members of the government and representatives of the World Bank discussed the economic memorandum drafted for Georgia.

An official meeting was held between the members of the Government of Georgia and the World Bank, at which the parties discussed the Economic Memorandum of Understanding (CEM) prepared by the World Bank entitled: “Projecting the Future for a Competitive, Integrated and Strong Georgia”.

The discussion on the document was attended by: Lalita Murti, World Bank Country Director for Equal Economic Growth, Finance and Institutions in Europe and Central Asia; Sebastian Molineus, World Bank Regional Director; Levan Davitashvili, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs Zurab Azarashvili, Vice President of the National Bank Archil Mestvirishvili, representatives of ministries and the World Bank.

The document, prepared by the World Bank, reflects Georgia’s achievements over the past decade and aims to pursue the necessary state policy to maintain these achievements.

The memorandum discusses the importance of strengthening the country’s reforms in areas such as structural and spatial transformation, increasing productivity in various sectors, human capital development and more.

After the exchange of proposals and opinions from the Georgian side, the document will be made public and available to the public.
