Mikheil Chkhenkeli: “Unified national exams started today. All examination centres across the country are organized at a high level. What is new this year is that we have increased the list of third electives, and therefore applicants have more opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge.

There are 22 examination centres in full readiness throughout the country, which will receive up to 90,000 registered examinees – entrants, participants in the student grant competition, candidates for master’s degrees, and those who wish to raise the status of teachers and pedagogues.

It is not necessary to wear a mask for the unified national exams of 2022; however, if desired, the examinee has the opportunity to wear a mask himself. If the entrant has been confirmed to have Covid on the day of the exam and is registered in the health database, an additional session will be held for him, where he will be able to pass the relevant subject.



The new thing about the exams this year is that the list of the third optional compulsory subject has been expanded for entrants – along with history and mathematics, they can take profiling subjects according to the field they choose, taking into account their desired profession (literature, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, fine and applied arts). , civil education).

In addition, this year, for the first time, an exam is being held for native language and literature teachers of non-Georgian-speaking schools, as well as for those wishing to become a leader and mentor teachers.
