Rude, inexperienced staff defaming the image of O Ver St James in London

London, United Kingdom: O Ver St James – A popular Italian restaurant in the heart of London is no longer standing up to its image of service and quality. Many customers are complaining of rude, reckless behaviour by the restaurant staff, who seem to pay no attention to its standards. 

After various complaints and social media posts by people displaying the rude and inexperienced behaviour of staff, Georgia Online correspondent went to a restaurant to put all the facts to the test. 

During the visit to O Ver St James, our correspondent comprehended why the majority of customers were now criticising the restaurant. The restaurant’s charts are so ill-managed that despite reservations, the customers had to wait for 50 long minutes, with additional 50 minutes time for the food to arrive at the table.

The correspondent went on a Friday afternoon when the customer load is usually not very significant. However, the restaurant staff was very rude and remained consistent in their poor service. Our correspondent managed to interact with other customers; one of them said, “The pasta looked crusty, so I stayed away. Should have just kept myself away from this place altogether.”

“The servers were avoiding people at all times, making everyone feel as if they shouldn’t have made their choice of coming to O Ver St James; they were very rude and had no care whatsoever,” said one of the customers. 

As described on their website, “everything is made with love and patience by our chef”, the actual things seemed quite the opposite of it. The food was exceptionally tasteless; however, the ambience of the restaurant is fine. Some customers said they could get a much better quality of food and service at other restaurants around the city for similar prices.

“We were sitting at the table for like 30 minutes for someone to come notice us and take an order, the restaurant was pretty much empty at the time, and the food was mediocre too; I would never ever recommend this place to anybody,” said one of the customers.

The restaurant is at one of the most prominent locations in London, their poor presentation and lack of quality service would soon end in its closure. O Ver St James needs to focus more on training its staff members to behave politely with the customers. The majority of the staff seems to be awful with their work and lack any basic ethics.
