Giorgi Amilakhavai, the education and science minister of Georgia, visited the site of the first public school in Lanchkhuti. He was accompanied by the state commissioner, Giorgi Urushadze of Guria. They inspected the rehabilitation work of the first public school in the Lanchkhuti region of Georgia.
It is to be specifically mentioned that this rehabilitation project is being implemented by the agency for educational and scientific infrastructure development of SPP.
The rehabilitation work is being carried out under the framework of many large-scale projects. The decision regarding these projects was taken by Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili.
The minister, commenting on the project’s progress, stated that the project cost would be approximately five million GEL. Moreover, the entire construction work will be executed according to the norms and standards of the European level. Construction work will be completed using ecologically clean construction materials.
It is worth mentioning that, after the completion of the construction and full rehabilitation work, the school will provide many facilities to students. The school will include learning spaces, as well as laboratories dedicated to science and the study of computers. The school would also have within its premises a gym, library, canteen, resource room along with the office of the doctor.
It is also made clear by the construction company and school management that school infrastructure will be extremely friendly for people with disabilities. For the convenience of people with special needs and disabled people, there will be facility of elevators, ramps, and sanitary pads as well.
The school will be fully equipped with the infrastructure that will cater to the need for learning resources and inventory.
It is estimated that more than six hundred students will be able to complete their studies with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilites. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
Giorgi Amilakhavai, the education minister, took to social media and wrote specifically that “the Improvement of school infrastructure continues throughout the country.”
