Georgia: Giorgi Antsukhelidze Square was set up in Tkhinvala settlement

Georgia: A square named after the Georgian national hero, Giorgi Antsukhelidze, was set up in the Tkhinvala settlement, Vake district. The Mayor of the capital Kakha Kaladze got acquainted with the completed works.

Georgia: A square named after the Georgian national hero, Giorgi Antsukhelidze, was set up in the Tkhinvala settlement, Vake district. The Mayor of the capital Kakha Kaladze got acquainted with the completed works.

“In Tkhinvali, an important project was implemented for the local population. Giorgi Antsukhelidze Square has been completely rehabilitated. As part of the project, a treadmill was made, trees were planted, and a night lighting network and security cameras were installed.

Also, children’s attractions and recreational spaces were organized for people of all generations. We will do even more for such projects because the capital has a great resource to be fully regulated and planted,” said Kakha Kaladze.



At the initiative of the local population, a memorial named after Giorgi Antsukhelidze was placed in the square, and a plot of land was given to the Antsukhelidze family as a gift.

“Today, a decision was made to give 461 square meters of land as a gift to Giorgi Antsukhelidze’s family in the village of Tkhinvala, where he was born and raised. “Glory to the heroes!” Said Kakha Kaladze.



Deputy Mayor Andria Basilaia and Vake District Governor Davit Kvinikadze were present on the spot, together with the Mayor of Tbilisi.
