Delegation of MIA of Uzbekistan visits Georgia

A delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister Azizbek Ikramov paid an official visit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

A delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister Azizbek Ikramov paid an official visit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

Within the framework of the three-day visit, the members of the delegation held meetings with the heads of the Information-Analytical Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Human Resources Management Department.

During the meetings, the sides discussed the importance of the existing relations between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries and future prospects. The guests emphasised the importance of the information and experience shared by the Georgian side.



The members of the official delegation of Uzbekistan also visited the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the Unified Service Center, the Service Agency, the Public Security Management Center “112”, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and one of the structural units of the Tbilisi Police Department. During the meetings, the guests got acquainted with the specifics of the work of the units of the Ministry on the spot and received information from the management about the reforms implemented in the Ministry.

Within the framework of the visit, the first meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Azizbek Ikramov, and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri.

The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the reforms implemented in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and to share best practices.



At the end of the visit, the head of the delegation thanked the Georgian side for sharing the experience and invited the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia to pay a return visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
