“We mourn profoundly the loss of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt across the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world.”

The Queen’s newly appointed Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Liz Truss called the Queen as the foundation rock , on which the modern Britain was built. She was the source of the strength and stability that the country required.

Queen’s glorious reign over the country spanned 15 prime ministers, beginning from Winston Churchill to Liz Truss. She used to have weekly audiences with her prime ministers throughout her reign.

The year 2015 marked Queen Elizabeth II’s year to become the longest-reigning monarch of Britain as she surpassed her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria. The country had celebrated her platinum Jubilee milestone by arranging royal parades, parties and pageantry in her honour. “When it comes to how to mark 70 years as your Queen, there is no guidebook to follow. It really is a first,” the Queen wrote.
