UK: Coronation ceremony of King Charles III may cost less in wake of cost of living crisis

The newly proclaimed Monarch, King Charles III, is planning his coronation ceremony, which is anticipated to be less expensive than Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation ceremony due to the cost of living crisis in the Royal family.

King Charles III of Britain is also said to be slimming down the Monarchy, where there could be fewer working members of the royal family.

The coronation ceremony for Queen Elizabeth II cost a total of £1.57m, equivalent to £46m today. The date of the new King’s ceremony is not decided yet.

The new King of the United Kingdom, King Charles III, is very aware of the struggles felt by modern Britons so that he will see his wishes carried through.

Although his coronation ceremony should stay proper to the long-held traditions of the past, it should also represent a monarchy in the modern world.

According to the source, King’s coronation ceremony will be shorter, sooner and less expensive. Guests could be limited to 2,000, with Commonwealth leaders and diversity of religions prioritised among the congregation.
