Olaf Scholz: Germany will deliver promised weapons to Ukraine on time

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in an interview that Germany would deliver the promised weapons to Ukraine on time.

Germany is criticized by Ukraine for its slow pace of arms supplies. Ukraine is asking the country to supply combat tanks and aircraft; although Germany has not sent this type of weapon, it has promised to send anti-aircraft tanks to Ukraine.

In an exclusive interview with a reporter, when asked if a heavy weapon would arrive in the Donbas in time to bring about change, Scholz replied that the weapon would “arrive on time”.

He noted that the priorities of who will receive German weapons should be changed first, and for this, it is necessary to change the protocol so that Ukraine can receive weapons sooner.

“You know, there is a long list of consumers who are already waiting to receive them in 2 and 3 years. We are working to make this happen now.

The concrete things we can deliver now will be delivered after the exercise. You can not use these tools without training.

We will provide anti-ballistic systems that will be able to save Odesa or Kyiv. “We have also decided, together with the United Kingdom and the United States, to supply several missile launchers simultaneously, ” Scholz said.
