Tbilisi: The Parliament of Georgia hosted the families and children of the Ukrainian frontline warriors that have been fighting against Ukraine. As Parliamentary speaker, Shalva Papuashvili tweeted, “Support, encouragement, providing care and warmth – is the least we can do for them in time of their country being at war.”  Its been nine months since Russia invaded Ukraine, and war has still been persistent between the countries.

The Georgian Parliament has extended its support towards the families of the troops that have been in the battlefield against Russia. The war has claimed the life of a large number of Ukrainian troops, leaving millions of children orphaned and women as widows. Providing some sort of warmth and support for such families is what the Georgians sought to achieve with the recent address.
