Kyiv faces massive drone attack

Russia-Ukraine War:   The capital city of Ukraine, Kyiv, faced another massive drone attack on the morning of 14th December 2022. Lately, the Russian forces have been attacking the peaceful cities of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Defence Forces today shot down 13 Iran-made Shahed-136 drones that Russia has deployed for attacking Ukraine.

Russia-Ukraine War:   The capital city of Ukraine, Kyiv, faced another massive drone attack on the morning of 14th December 2022. Lately, the Russian forces have been attacking the peaceful cities of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Defence Forces today shot down 13 Iran-made Shahed-136 drones that Russia has deployed for attacking Ukraine.

In a video shared by the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he confirmed the reports of all thirteen Shahed drones being shot down by the Ukrainian air defence. He expressed his pride in the Ukrainian defence forces, stating, “Well done, I’m proud of you” and wished health for all the citizens of Ukraine. Also, he cautioned everyone about the air raid alert in the country and advised them to remain under shelter.

Meanwhile, the Vice President of the PACE Committee on Migration, Oleksiy Goncharenko, shared the images of Kyiv from the last year’s Christmas preparations, when the capital city was all lit up. But, the currently ensuing Russian aggression in Ukraine has been a curse for the Ukrainian citizens.

The attacks on the energy facilities in the country have left the citizens pondering in the dark due to the electricity outages. Major supermarkets in Kyiv have been operating in the blackouts prior to Christmas. The citizens of Ukraine, however, continue to live with their spirits high.

With global support pouring in, Ukraine so far has stood firm against Putin’s forces. The European Union has also extended its sincere support for Ukraine since the beginning of the war. The campaigns like Generators of Hope, Laptops for Ukraine have further extended European solidarity with Ukraine.
