Roseau, Dominica: The Housing Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Melissa Skerrit, introduced the new members of the Labour Soldiers of the Roseau Central Constituency Association of the Labour Party, who were nominated and elected to join as the key members of the association.
Melissa Skerrit penned a congratulatory message to the new members of the association, stating- “Congratulations to all those who came forward to volunteer and avail themselves to do good work in collaboration with and on behalf of the Labour Party.”
She further added that with the infusion of new and young blood into the association, the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica strives ahead towards a progressive future. These youngsters possess adequate willingness as well as skills for the upliftment of the country.
Moreover, these youngsters can put forth the issues faced by the youngsters in the country. At the same time, they will inspire the youth of Dominica to contribute in the development of the country in achieving new heights.
Notably, these youngsters have been assigned as executive members of the Labour Youth Organization following the recently held Labour Youth Organization elections.
Another remarkable fact is that the current Housing Minister of Dominica, Melissa Skerrit, also used to be an ordinary member of the Roseau Labour Youth Organization. However, her proficiency and community-centric approach to service had led her to become a successful electoral representative from the Roseau Central constituency.
Meanwhile, the initiative for youth involvement has been warmly welcomed by the citizens of the country, who congratulated all these youngsters and wished them success in their future endeavours.
