UNESCO Chief joins 100th episode of Indian PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat

New Delhi, India: As the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio broadcast ‘ Mann ki Baat’ completed 100 episodes on Sunday, UNESCO Director-General c also joined the broadcast, during which he congratulated PM Modi for the feat and interacted with him regarding education and cultural preservation in India.

PM Modi, in his address, mentioned that he received message from the UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay in which she wished all the countrymen for this wonderful journey.

In her message to PM Modi, the UNESCO Chief thanked the latter for allowing her to be a part of the 100th episode of the Mann Ki Baat, while commending the shared history of India and UNESCO in the fields of education, science, culture and information. 

Additionally, she highlighted UNESCO’s vision to achieve the goal of providing quality education to citizens across the globe with maximum possible access to citizens and asked about the Indian way of accomplishing the objective. 

At the same time, Prime Minister Modi also expressed his gratitude towards the UNESCO Chief for being a part of the Mann ki Baat’s hundredth episode of the radio broadcast. He also commended her for highlighting key issues that continue to be a challenge for the world.

As per PM Modi, the radio broadcast Mann ki Baat has led to the commencement of various movements that later turned out to be the mass movements like NEP, Gunotsav and Shala Praveshotsav. Also, Mann Ki Baat forms a government’s medium to propel the country in its Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

India’s famous campaigns, like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign), Promotion of Khadi and other nature-related concerns, have seen an ignited growth following their association with the Mann Ki Baat.

Furthermore, PM Narendra Modi stated that his monthly radio programme has been truly special as it connects him to the common people of the country and celebrates the collective spirit of the citizens of India.
