29th Academic session begins at International Black Sea University

Georgia: The 29th academic year officially opened at the International Black Sea University on October 4, 2024. It aims to evaluate the scientific research work carried out by academic staff at the institutional level. it will also gives “scientist of the year” award also.

The University’s rector, Kakha Shengelia, and the Vice-Rector of Research in the Field, Tea Kbilsetsklashvili, addressed the people gathered at the ceremony. Kakha Shengelia noted that the University constantly develops and promotes scientific and research activities and systematically supports academic staff in these activities.

Kakha also emphasized the importance of engaging younger researchers and students in scientific research activities and encouraging participation in joint projects and studies with science professors. Creating a conducive research environment for scientists contributes to improving scientific collaboration and advancing science.

Vice-Chancellor of Research Thea summarized the scientific research activities of the year 2023 – 2024. It focused on how academic staff and students are supported and how the University’s research policy increases scientific research productivity.

Tea focused on new initiatives and thanked scientists for their active involvement, emphasizing that it is their contributions that add value to the University through more scientific research activities. Their efforts are integral to ensuring the growth and development of scientific research activity among academic staff.

Tea noted that the progress of science is determined by the work of science and the value of its discoveries and that nothing is more precious than the results of scientific research.

By the decision of the University’s governing council, the rector, Kakha Shengelia, awarded the “scientists of the year”, authors of scientific projects, and mentors who have contributed to students’ success in various competitions and the Olympics.
