Georgia: The public schools of Ambrolauri municipality, Ambrolauri village Likheti, Daba Lentekhi N1, and Tsageri town were opened in the Racha-Lechkhumisa and Lower Svaneti region.
Givi Mikanadze, Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, together with the Racha-Lechkhumi Svaneti delegate Gocha Enukidze, State Governor Papuna Margvelidze, Deputy Governors Christina Kobakhidze, Berdia Chankseliani, Aluda Tutisani, and representatives of local authorities, inspected the renovated infrastructure and congratulated teachers and students on the start of the new academic year.
The Minister emphasized the importance of developing educational infrastructure across the country and noted that work is actively underway on the initiative of the Prime Minister.
Givi Mikanadze noted, “The process of improving school infrastructure, which started at the initiative of the Prime Minister, is actively continuing at this moment.” “We are opening 60 newly rehabilitated and newly built public schools for the new school year, emphasizing once again that we are delivering on our promise, he added.
The Minister also said, “Year by year, the number of renovated schools is increasing. “It certainly boosts both educators and teachers’ motivation and promotes the academic performance of adolescents.”
In all three public schools, science and computer labs, library, sports and activity halls, a doctor’s office, and a resource room function parallel to the learning spaces. Schools adapted for people with disabilities: a lift, adapted sanitary knots, and a ramp installed.
Village Likheti Public School has 200 students, and the total cost of the construction project is more than 2 million 600 thousand GEL. Daba Lentekhi N1 public school is counted for 450 pupils, and the total cost of the construction project is more than 7 million 800 thousand GEL.
The public school of Tsageri has 500 pupils, and the total cost of the construction project is more than 6 million 400 thousand GEL.
