Tbilisi: After years of infrastructure development and united efforts 5G services have been launched in Georgia. In the initial phase these services will be available in three major cities. These cities included Tbilisi, Gudauri and Bakuriani.
As per the experts in the Information technology field a new stage in the development of mobile technologies has been started in the Country. Cellfie Mobile, which is a major operator in Georgia and serves more than 1.3 million customers throughout the whole Country of Georgia has launched this service.
The company has now launched the introduction of 5G technology in the field of advanced telecommunications at an official ceremony in Gudauri.It is to be specifically mentioned that 5G (Fifth generation) technology which offers users fundamentally new service opportunities now have been fully available in Gudauri and Bakuriani, as well as in two districts of Tbilisi which are Didube and Didi Dighomi.
It is to be noted that on an experimental basis the 5G network of Cellfie was activated in pilot mode in the Capital of Georga, Tbilisi, on November 21, and more than 5,000 users have already used it and this statistics is expected to grow in the near future.
A major telecom company in Georgia namely Cellfie introduced 5G technology with equipment received from the world’s leading technology company, Nokia, with which Cellfie company signed a contract in August of this year.
As per the terms and conditions of the contract Cellfie is developing 5G throughout Georgia covering all the regions. Cellfie also has the license to use the frequency resources necessary for the successful and complete implementation of the 5G network to provide the best communication services to the public in the near future.
