European Union Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi said the European Commission had started preparing its conclusion on the EU membership questionnaire the Georgian government had submitted.
Following his meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in Brussels, Varhelyi tweeted that the EU “continues to help the reduction of the repercussions” of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Garibashvili and Varhelyi recently reviewed the questionnaire work process, which was completed ahead of schedule by Georgian authorities, as well as the next measures the country must take to achieve membership candidate status.
The conference also addressed the security situation in the Black Sea region, with the Prime Minister expressing Georgia’s support with the people of Ukraine.
