Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) hosts leading tour operators in Uzbekistan. Representatives of eleven travel companies visited Tbilisi within the framework of the info-tour.

Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) hosts leading tour operators in Uzbekistan. Representatives of eleven travel companies visited Tbilisi within the framework of the info-tour. 

In the capital, organized by the National Tourism Administration, Uzbek tour operators met with their Georgian counterparts, where they discussed issues of cooperation and joint tour planning.

“Organized by the National Tourism Administration, we host 11 tour operators from Georgia to Uzbekistan, who are aware of the country’s tourism potential and today held business meetings with representatives of our private sector, which is an additional opportunity to formulate a tourism product and position it in the Uzbek market. From the country to Georgia,” said Medea Janiashvili, Acting Head of the National Tourism Administration.

“We are representatives of the tourism industry of Uzbekistan; we are in Georgia at the invitation of the Tourism Administration. We visited your very beautiful country. The main purpose of our visit is to study the tourism potential of Georgia and get closer to the representatives of the tourism sector in Georgia. We were given an excellent opportunity by the tourism administration, and today we met with Georgian tour operators and exchanged information with them. “After the pandemic, many citizens in Uzbekistan are interested in travelling to Georgia to get acquainted with your beautiful nature, taste Georgian dishes and meet very warm Georgian people,” said Shukhrajon Amijanov, CEO of the Uzbek travel company Euro Tour.

“This particular tour from Uzbekistan is very important. Georgia is very popular in the tourist market this country; we have direct flights, and quite a lot of tourists come to Georgia from Uzbekistan. I think such meetings will help increase tourist flows, “said Ioseb Zukhbaia, director of the tour leader.

During the tour, representatives of leading Uzbek tourism companies visited Mtskheta, Borjomi, Kutaisi, Poti and Batumi and visited accommodation facilities and tourist infrastructure.

The purpose of the info-tour is to introduce the tourism potential of Georgia to Uzbek tour operators and to attract tourist flows from Uzbekistan.
