Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Terrance Drew visited the Joseph N France General Hospital on his routine walkthrough. PM Drew visited various departments of the hospital, including the Outpatient/Accident and Emergency Department, Ophthalmology Department, Radiology Department, and Blood Bank and Laboratory. This was PM Terrance Drew’s second visit to the JNF hospital.
The Prime Minister met and greeted the staff members as well as the patients in the hospital at the time of his visit. In the pictures shared by PM Terrance Drew on his social media account, he can be seen interacting with the staff of the various departments of the hospital.
PM also looked for levels of hygiene that are being maintained inside the hospital wards and premises to ensure that citizens of the country receive the best of treatments.
Additionally, PM Terrance Drew was seen getting acquainted with the medical equipment being utilized for the treatment of patients. Further, he ensured that the hospital remains fully updated with the latest and the most advanced facilities and infrastructure to match the global standards of the country’s healthcare infrastructure.
Notably, the office of the Ministry of Health of St Kitts and Nevis is also being assumed by Prime Minister Terrance Drew. Thus, the Drew government has remained committed towards providing quality healthcare to citizens, which has been their topmost priority, which he reinstated in his Facebook post, stating:
“The Ministry of Health is working ardently to address the concerns of the public and advance our healthcare sector.”
Ever since Drew assumed the office of Prime Minister, the healthcare sector has exhibited several developments, including several workshops or providing Basic Life Support Training to the staff.
