Georgia: First Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia, Joseph Bagaturia, honoured the memory of Nutsa Takaishvili at the civil funeral in Levil. He sent his condolences to the deceased’s relatives and friends.
Nutsa Takaishvili was buried at Levili Georgian cemetery.
Nutsa Takaishvili was born in 1930 in Leville, where she spent her youth years with her family. In 1959, Nutsa Takaishvili married Oresti Gordeladze and moved to Paris. However, he visited his homeland frequently and spent a number of years in his care. Nutsa Takaishvili knew the Georgian language perfectly and, until the last minute of her life, stood out with respect and endless love for her homeland – Georgia.
Nutsa Takaishvili will remain a Georgian symbol of warmth and hospitality for a number of guests who arrived from Georgia.
Levili’s homeland, purchased by the government of the first democratic republic of Georgia in France in 2016, after 25 years of negotiations, returned to Georgia as a result of the efforts of Minister of State for Diaspora Affairs Gela Dumbadze and Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani.
Nutsa Takaishvili played an important role in the successful crowning of the process. He participated in these negotiations on behalf of a part of Noe Ramishvili’s family. Among many other distinctive features, Nutsa Takaishvili’s attitude, full of love and humility towards today’s Georgia and Georgian people, was one of the main qualities.
