The recent meeting of the Tbilisi municipality government was held on November 14, 2023, at the Tbilisi City Hall.
The meeting was chaired by the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, who made several statements on various topics:
- In order for students to arrive at school on time and, most importantly, safely, the Tbilisi Municipality Government have decided to allow school transport in the bus lane.
- From next year, 18-meter buses will run on predetermined corridors, which they have selected according to a study with international consultants for high passenger capacity.
- The volume of the 2024 budget project of Tbilisi Municipality, which is presented in the City Hall, is determined by 1 billion 700 million 912 thousand GEL, which 68 million 779 thousand GEL increases compared to the approved budget of 2023. This is the initial and not the final version of the draft budget.
- The Prime Minister’s initiative on the legalization of illegally built residential houses on privately owned lands will not apply to Tbilisi, as such large-scale amnesty has already been implemented in the capital.
- Such socially important initiatives are a great support to our citizens. They are sure that many people in the country are waiting for this initiative. This will enable thousands of citizens to have their property legally fully, and lawfully perfect.
- At the end of November, the road works on University Street will be completed, and it will be possible to move in both directions.
- In Mukhiani, square rehabilitation begins near the IV B microdistrict N33 building.
- The fountain near Tbilisi State Concert Hall was rehabilitated. The works were intended to preserve the historical image of the fountain. In addition, the surrounding area and the underground passage were wholly tidied up.
- Near Lortkipanidze N28, where the building was supposed to be built, recreational space will be arranged.
