Tbilisi: The People of The Republic of Georgia were mesmerised by the happy and proud moments as Georgia’s Sandro Bazadze became the best sword fender in the world. This announcement came to light after the declaration of results by the International Fencing Federation at Egypt.
FIE(International Fencing Federation), while announcing the name of the Sandro Bazadze, stated that it “Relive the atmosphere of the annual ceremony of International Fencing Federation, where Sandro Bazadze becomes the top-ranked men’s sabre fencer of the year 2023! Just witness his stellar performance that has left everyone stunned”.
It is worth mentioning that Sandro Bazadze is one of the best sabre fencers and European champions of 2022 and 2023 in the individual categories. He also represented Georgia in the last held two Olympics. The last two Olympic games were held in Brazil and Japan respectively.
Representatives of the Georgian Government congratulated the winner for his extraordinary performance. They also wished him all the best for the next Olympic games.
Besides politicians, many social organisations, sports clubs, and academies also wished and encouraged Sandro Bazadze to succeed at the Olympics and make the countrymen more proud.
Ministry of Youth and Culture while congratulating Sandro Bazadze, took to his social media page and said that “ Sandro Bazadze is the best Sword fender of the world. He was awared with this exceptional recognition at the FIE congress, which was held in Sharm El Sheikh of Egypt. Sandro Bazadze is the first Georgian Fencing player who got this award ”.
Notably, Sandro Bazadze spent last time with his participation at the high-level sports event. At the World Cup championship, Sandro Bazadze became the champion of Europe and won the silver medal at that competition of international level.
Social media also flooded with the congratulatory message on this success of Sandro Bazadze.One social media user, namely Salome Gloveli, commented that “proud” similarly one another user wrote as a comment that “It’s a way to go, Sandro! Bravo to the culture and sports ministry of Georgia, they wanted to bring so much gold and silver to the country! Good luck to you”.
Another user, while recalling the Sandro Bazadze performance at the Olymic, commented that, “I still remember his Olymic performance what he said he did , what a brave man! walk in with Success all the time”
