Tbilisi:Â Natia Merebashvili, Deputy Prosecutor General of Georgia gave New Year’s gifts to the beneficiaries of Dzegvi Rehabilitation Center. The other member of the office accompanied her during visit to the centre.
District Prosecutor of Shida Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti Avtandil Kochlamazashvili as well as District Prosecutor of Mtskheti Davit Kazarashvili regioin and many other representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office also visited the rehabilitation centre along with the deputy prosecutor general.
This rehabilitation centre is situated near the monastery named after St. Giorgi Mtatsmindeli. Here they gave New Year’s gifts to the beneficiaries living in the centre on behalf of the employees of the prosecutor’s office.
Natia Merebashvili congratulated the residents of the Dzegvi Rehabilitation Center on Christmas and New Year and presented them with kitchen equipment, TV, food products and sweets as gifts. During her address she also apprised the attendees about the various reforms that the prosecutor’s office is carrying out for the welfare of these residents of the welfare centre.
The director of the centre Nana Gogochuri thanked the representatives of the prosecutor’s office for the gifts. According to the director this is an important step taken by the prosecution office for the welfare of the centre’s residents.
It is worth mentioning that the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia actively conducts various charity events for the beneficiaries living in the rehabilitation centre near the monastery named after St. George Mtatsmindeli every year, which will continue in the future.
Speaking further on the occasion, the deputy prosecutor general of the Georgia prosecution office has launched many drives for the welfare of these people, and with a united effort, more effort will be initiated.
She also said that there is a need to make an effort to provide better educational facilities for these students and residents of the centre so that they can become successful and established citizens of the country as well.
The visited delegation also distributed the sweets to the children at the centre. Social media users commented and appreciated the welfare initiative of the prosecution office one user said “Such social involvement by local, county and regional prosecutors is exemplary!” another user, Liliko Gelashvili, commented, “Best of the best”.
