Tbilisi: Giorgi Amilakhvar, Georgian Minister of Education ,Science and Youth, together with First Deputy Alexander Tsuladze, held a farewell meeting with Italian Emergency and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Enrico Valvo. He thanked the Ambassador for his extraordinary services in the Republic of Georgia as an ambassador of France.
It is to be specifically mentioned that during the meeting, Giorgi Amilakhvar thanked French Ambassador Enrico Valvo for his fruitful cooperation and joint projects in the field of education. The Minister also wished success to the Italian Ambassador Emergency and Plenipotentiary in future activities.
Minister Speaking specifically stated that the Ambassador has done a commendable job as a French diplomat in the Republic of Georgia.
He also said that both countries have a great history of strong bilateral relations. He further stated that the role of the Fench ambassador in cementing bilateral relations can not be ignored.
Georgian Minister expressed hopes that in the near future, the relationship between both countries will witness new heights as well.
While recalling the role of the Ambassador in the effort to boost the education sector of Georgia. He termed the education sector as the backbone of Georgia, and Ambassode played a vital role in uplifting the standard of this sector in particular.
On the other hand, in his turn, Enrico Valvo thanked Giorgi Amilakhvari for his exemplary partnership and for supporting Italian language teaching in schools.
The French Ambassador also noted the fact that by the Minister’s decision, from 2023, Italian language teachers will be given the opportunity to pass the academic exam.
It is worth mentioning that at this historic meeting, the parties expressed their hope that the long-standing partnership between the countries in the field of education will be strengthened in the future.
At the end of the meeting, the Georgian side honoured the Ambassador and also gave him a warm farewell.
