Adjara, Georgia: In a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage, the Autonomous Republic of Adjara has commenced the much-anticipated Olympiad of Children’s Folklore Ensembles of Song and Dance.
This event Organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, the Olympiad of Children’s Folklore Ensembles of Song and Dance begins in Adjara region.
The goal of the Children’s Folklore Ensemble Olympiad is to present and promote traditional art, Georgian folk songs, and dance to the younger generation, to expose and encourage talented performers, and to share creative news among the participants.
The event is a beacon for preserving the authenticity of Georgian folklore, ensuring its continuity for years to come.
Eligible participants include public and private schools, non-commercial entities focused on choreography and singing, professional state ensembles, cultural centers, and non-school artistic institutions. These groups are united by a common goal: to perform and perpetuate the legacy of Georgian folk art.
To partake in this grand cultural symposium, ensembles must submit their applications between March 11 and April 1, 2024. Applications are to be sent via email to adjaraolimpiada@gmail.com, marking the first step towards potential glory at the Olympiad.
