Georgia: The Scientific Research Center of Agriculture (SRCA) signed a memorandum of cooperation with Jakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. The Agricultural Scientific and Research Center deepens cooperation with Telavi State University in the scientific field.
The memorandum provides for deepening cooperation in scientific research, arranging joint conferences, seminars, and training, as well as internship of students on the Center’s experimental and laboratory bases.
“Appropriate attention has been paid to agricultural directions in our university for years.” With so many multidisciplinary Agricultural Research Centers and the University, the renewal of the memorandum takes the very fruitful cooperation so far to a new level, which will be the precursor of the Telavi State University named after Jacob Gogebashvili, Shalva Chkadua.
“It is a priority for the research center to cooperate with organizations of agrarian and higher education in the regions. Under the memorandum, students in all three levels of the university’s education programs will have the opportunity to plan and implement research, enhance professional skills at the Center’s test-demonstration bases and laboratories, along with academic staff, which will help build more young skilled workforce in the region. “- noted by Levan Ujmajuridze, Director of the Agricultural Scientific and Research Center.

The Scientific Research Center of Agriculture is a Public research organization under of Umbrella Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia. SRCA has more than 15 Divisions and departments and consists of several research farms in Georgia.

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University is an educational institution located in Telavi, one of the oldest and most picturesque cities in Kakheti, Eastern Georgia. It is named after the eminent 19th-century Georgian writer and educator Jakob Gogebashvili.
