Kobuleti Municipality, Georgia has invited the application for a women’s economic empowerment support program. The application can be submitted up to May 1, 2024.
As per the information shared by the representative of the Kobuleti Municipality any women of 18 years or older can register for this program . Moreover the Kobuleti Municipality or women’s initiative groups of the country also can participate in the competition.
The Mayor speaking on the organization of the program said that this is the effort of the municipality to give a boost to women’s empowerment. He also added that the Municipality is always committed to this direction for a year. He encouraged the women of the municipality to to participates in this program in large numbers.
This is also noteworthy that the project from the municipality will be financed with the amount of 5000 GEL from the local budget. Women members of National minorities, women with disabilities, mothers of disabled persons, victims of violence, single mothers and many children, and forcibly displaced women are exempted from the obligation of participation.
The program has been launched with special aim . The aim is to promote the development of small scale projects. It will also ensure the equal rights for women and support economic empowerment among the womens.
Many women groups are actively working for the upliftment of women across the country. Women’s Information Center is one of the prominent groups that is actively carrying out many activities for the overall development of Georgian women.
Nowadays it is universally recognized that economically stable women can play a crucial role in the social progress of the country. The countries where the rights of women are violated are still backward.
