UNICEF Georgia: New training program “Junior Tech” started

As UNICEF (United Nations International Children Emergency Fund) Georgia wing is doing many activities in the country for the welfare the children a new program has now been introduced. This is a training program called “Junior Tech” which is being implemented by UNICEF Georgia and University of Business and Technology of Georgia.

It is worth mentioning that in order to protect the rights of children and youth and improve their well-being, the United Nations Children’s Fund continues working actively with different stakeholders from different sector. This newly introduced program, “Junior Tech” has been designed to gives young people the opportunity to acquire important skills for their development. They will also be able to acquire the ability to communicate which is one of the most important factors for applying the knowledge gained within the project in real life and integrating it into the activities of society. That is why with the support of liberty, participating young people were given effective communication training.

At the training, adult participants had the opportunity to discuss topics such as the comfort zone of thinking, elements of communication, communication barriers, etc. The participating students of the training also got the knowledge about different aspects of the help needed for the upliftment of the rights of the needy section of the society as well.

It is also worth mentioning that during the training camp attendees got the opportunities to share their views with others in the field of children’s welfare activities. A presentation involving information regarding government initiatives was also held.

The presentation shed light on the needs and measures which demand critical attention. The issue of the communication barrier was discussed in depth. Most of the time children suffer due to number of the communication barriers.

The participating members of the group said that this was a productive session and they have come to know many problems faced by the childrens. They also thanked the UNICEF Georgia and the business and technology university for providing them the opportunity through which they came to know about the government initiative in this direction. They also added that these kind of training session are very beneficial. Moreoevr these types of the training session must be held regularly in the future.
