The bridge connecting Norio and Lilo was damaged on July 26. Today the Mayor Davit Kargareteli visited the site to assess the loss.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the bridge that has a great local importance connecting Norio-Lilo in Gardabani municipality was damaged. Although the bridge collapsed fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Gardabani Municipality Mayor Davit Kargareteli was at the scene of the accident today . The Mayor was also accompanied by Kvemo Kartli Deputy State Commissioner Ilia Jalaghania.
Just a day ago the Gardabani Municipality City Hall informed the people about the damaged bridge. The city hall administration taking to their official Facebook page stated “Traffic is temporarily restricted due to the damage of the bridge on the local importance road connecting Norio-Lilo. It will be possible for vehicles to travel in this direction via Tbilisi bypass. Gargabani Municipality Hall apologizes for the delay.”
It is worth mentioning that appropriate procedures have been initiated regarding the restoration of the bridge including the preparation of design and tender documents.
The work will be done quickly so connectivity can be restored immediately. After their visit to the spot the Mayor and the Kvemo Kartli Deputy State Commissioner Ilia Jalaghania said that the damaged bridge creates a massive problem for commuters; however, the municipality administration will make every effort to restore connectivity as soon as possible.
On the other hand the Mayor and his team also added that people should use alternative routes to travel to their destinations. He also advised people to assist the municipality officials in completing the project work early.
In the past many bridges and roads were also damaged due to natural disasters. The municipality has restored the construction of the damaged road quickly. The social media user while reacting to the post of the city hall lauds the Mayor and other representatives of the municipality for the timely response to the damaged work.
