Georgia: To promote students, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia started accepting applications within the framework of the Social Program.
To be funded by a state scholarship, students enrolled in accredited educational programs for Bachelor’s degree, Bachelor’s degree in Teacher Training, Integrated Master of Veterinary, or Diploma of Medicine/Dentistry can submit applications within the social program.
Announcements will be accepted electronically from September 6 to September 26, 2024, based only on online registration at http://socreg.mes.gov.ge.
- In 2024, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia will continue to fund 16 categories of students within the social program:
- Graduates of schools with the status of highland villages;
- Students from the occupied territories;
- Children of those who have died as a result of combat for territorial integrity, veterans with severe/significant disabilities, or their children;
- Orphan (motherless) students;
- Family members with many children (4 or more children);
- Socially vulnerable students (with a family rating score of 70000 and below);
- Students who were under state care;
- Graduates of Azerbaijani-language schools;
- Graduates of Armenian schools;
- Students who had obtained repatriate status;
- Graduates of schools of villages near the line dividing with occupied territories;
- Students with disabilities;
- Persons with autism spectrum disorder;
Children of the military personnel of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia who died in international peace and security operations or another kind of peacekeeping and recovery operations or as a result of health injuries sustained in these missions have severe/significantly expressed disability status as a result of peacekeeping and security operations—people with or their children.
In the system of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, the children of the military service members who died in the line of duty.
The “Promoting Inclusive Learning” program implemented by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth, the “Second Opportunity to Receive Education with Social Inclusion” subprogramme as Bosha Adolescents, benefited students studying in Georgian general educational institutions.
