Georgia: Public holiday “Garisoba 2024” celebrated in Tetritskaro with organisation of various events. The day was celebrated with active support of Tetritskaro Municipality, the company Aremji, and the organization of the Culture and Sports at “Squirrel Park”.
The mayor of the municipality, Giorgi Tsiklauri, the corporative director of the mining company “Aremji”, Kakhaber Mchedlishvili and the director of the Culture and Sports Center, David Kazakhashvili, congratulated the city’s “Gvatslmosili”, the honorary citizens of the year 2024 together.
The event featured a children’s entertainment program featuring walking drummers, fairy tale characters, Hulk, Sonic, Princess Illusionist and Juggles, as well as an exhibition of products produced by local and invited entrepreneurs – selling and musical numbers performed by choreographic and folklore ensembles at the Culture and Sports Center.
The traditional food tasting was held in the corners, which were represented by administrative units of Tetritskaro municipality.
A tournament named after Giorgi Goginashvili in volleyball was held within the framework of sports activities. The prize places were taken by two teams of village Vashlovani and village Gengtskaro. The winning teams were awarded a trophy and a cash prize. Local athletes who were successful in various sports were awarded with seals of thanks from Tetritskaro Municipality.
The public holiday continued with a gala concert, in which Linda Adamia, group “One quarter” and group “Iberia”. The evening ended with DJ musical arrangements and grand fireworks.
Tetriskaro Municipality
Tetritskaro is a district of Georgia in the Kvemo Kartli region. Its main town is Tetritskaro. Tetritskaro municipality is located in the eastern part of Georgia and is a self-governing unit in the Kvemo Kartli region.
The municipality is bordered on the east by Gardabani and Marneuli, on the west by Tsalka and Dmanisi, on the north by Kaspi and Mtskheta, and on the south by Bolnisi.
