140 students of the Zestafoni Municipality received the new laptops at an official ceremony. The Mayor of the Municipality, Vasil Gvelesian attended the event along with many other officials and representatives of the Municipality.
It is worth noting that the laptops were given to students who have completed their basic education and are eligible for this scheme following fulfillment of the terms and conditions.
On this occasion, the mayor of Zestafoni municipality, Vasil Gvelesian was accompanied by representatives of the educational resource center.
All of them jointly handed over the computers to the students. It is also to be noted that the project to promote education service has been implemented 15 years ago.
The main goals of the project are to promote student motivation and strengthen teaching methods based on information and communication technologies.
The city hall administration of the Municipality has shared glimpses of the event on their social media handles.
The hall was full of students, teachers, parents and municipal officials. Many students who were eligible under the scheme to receive personal computers (laptops) were accompanied by their parents.
At the laptop delivery event, the Mayor and another member of the Municipality also addressed the students and attendees.
The mayor in his address while motivating the students said that they should keep themselves updated with technological trends. He also encouraged them to learn about new emerging trends in the field of information and technology.
At the same time, the other key speaker of the event also encouraged the students to study with intersect. According to the students, they are the real future of any country.
Meanwhile some representative municipalities shared the measures that the Ministry is taking for the welfare of the student community.
At the end of the event the students and their parents also thanked the Mayor and other representatives of the Municipality for their unwavering support for the upliftment of education in the country.
However, they called on the officials to launch more such schemes for the welfare of the maximum number of students as well.
