Georgia: The First Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia, Shalva Gogoladze, congratulated table tennis player Anastasia Chkhartishvili on winning the International Riga Tournament. He also wished her success in future competitions and gave her symbolic gifts.

Anastasia Chkhartishvili is the first Georgian table tennis player among girls under 19 years old who could win a rating tournament.

The meeting, held in the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia, was attended by Anastasia Chkhartishvili’s personal coach, Kakhaber Chkhartashvili, and the General Secretary of the National Table Tennis Federation of Georgia, Nino Khvichia.

Anastasia Chkhartishvili signed a table tennis chosen to celebrate the historic victory, which will be handed to the Georgian Sports Museum.

The Ministry of Sports was founded on a tradition, according to which Georgian athletes will give autographs of their sports equipment and inventory to the Sports Museum after gaining success in important international competitions.

13 European countries participated in the Riga International Tournament. A Georgian sportsman won all the matches without losing a game and defeated a Lithuanian table tennis player 3:0 in the final.
