The ongoing protest in the Sokhumi of Abkhazia took an unexpected turn. The protesting crowd entered the so-called Parliament of the region.
The protestors opposed  law and according to them it had been enacted to give special treatment to Russian investors who wanted to invest in the region. Protesters are demanding the immediate revocation of the controversial law.
On this occasion  protesters also clashed with security forces. However, despite stiff resistance from security forces they successfully entered the Georgian Parliament.
It is worth noting that today the deputy of de-factor law was planning to give the law its final shape. Still, this decision was delayed against the clash between protestors and security forces.
Now the ratification process has been postponed until next week. The controversial law also wants to provide legal status to Russian investments there and legalise their land ownership.
The protestors did not relent even after the announcement of the delay. Some protesters also throw eggs and plastic bottles at members of security forces as well.
A fire truck and other measures were used to prevent the entry of protesters into the so-called parliament, but the protesters overpowered the security personnel.
As per sources at 3.30, the entire situation was under control  but later on the so-called opposition issued a statement. They said they were not protesting against the Russian-Abkhazia relations. But they are protesting the de facto president Aslan Bzhania’s act.
They accused the president of using his authority to gain personal benefits. Later, the protestors broke the windows and entered Parliament. The Tbilisi administration has not issued an official statement about the ongoing events in Abkhazia. Only the speaker of the Georgian parliament made comments.
As per the speaker violence against the controversial law is condemnable. He said every citizen has the right to protest in a peaceful way, but any kind of violence is not acceptable. The protesters said that their protest was peaceful, but the police used force. They said they would not go back until the law was amended.
