Tbilisi: The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze has condemned violence in the office of the Central Election Commission of Georgia.

He said that this act of the United National Movement leader opposed the true cruel and undemocratic violence of opposition parties.

The reaction of Georgia’s PM came today in which he stressed that this act also revealed that the opposition party had no solid evidence to prove the allegation of fraud.

So this is the reason why they have been taking undemocratic methods to discredit democrats instruction.

It is worth noting that after the incident the Chair of the Central Election Commission also responded and condemned the whole incident. He also rejected all such allegations and said that all of these allegations are without any clue.

Notably  in the incident  a member of the United Nations Movement, one of the coalitions of the opposition party of Georgia, hurled an undisclosed substance at an official of CEC when the election results were being summarised.

PM in his statement, further stated that we need to wait for further details of legal qualification. He said that after the new facts are disclosed, action will be taken against all of them as well.

It is also to be noted that after the incident, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia ordered an investigation to determine the exact reason behind it.

The United National Movement’s Davir Kirtadze was accused of throwing the unknown substance at the Central Election Commission Chair of Georgia, Giorgi Kalandarishvili.

The UNM leader  on the other hand stated that this was his act of protest against the violation and election fraud of the Georgian Dream. He said the ruling regime, the Georgian Dream  manipulated the election process.

Meanwhile the Prime Minister of Georgia thanked the central election Commission as well as other members of the authorities who played a fair role in ensuring a fair and transparent election.

The general public also condemned the move of the UNM member and demanded strict legal action against him so that in the future, nobody dares to do such  act against government officials.
